
Shirley Dorritie has been involved in the pageantry activity for over 45 years and specializes in training performers throughout the world for optimal achievement.
Founder and creator of The Center for Performance and Achievement in the San Francisco bay area, Shirley holds an MA in Counseling Psychology, with a Certificate in Sport Psychology. Her work assists a broad spectrum of performers, athletes, educators, choreographers and conductors to get “really, really good” at what they do and then perform at their best when the pressure is on.
A member of the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame, the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame, and the Winter Guard Association of Southern California’s Order of Excellence, her credits include the Concord Blue Devils and Santa Clara Vanguard drum and bugle corps, as well as the Clovis West and James Logan High School marching band programs.
Having served as an international adjudicator for the Marching Band, Winter Guard and Drum Corps activities since 1983, Shirley is currently Judge Development Manager for the Winter Guard International Color Guard division and Director of Judge Education for the WGASC.
She is the author of the online training courses "Delivering the Goods - Performing at the Top of Your Game When the Pressure Is On"; "Judging 101-The Basics", "The US Bands Judging System-Level 200", and four levels of "WGI Certify-Color Guard"; all available through e-AdjudicateAcademy.com.
